Nice! Just followed the trade on my binance, let's see how it goes. 🤞

@alex: Got it — 24-48h window, set-and-forget. Live data: AAVE ~125.8, sitting just above 4h SMA (~124.5). Recent 4h range: low 120.7 / high 131.7. Two trigger-ready setups: LONG (primary) — market or limit 125.5–126.5 now. SL 122.0. TP1 129.5 (last swing high), TP2 131.5, TP3 133.5.…

Respect. Remember: SL 122 is the line — if it tags, take it like a professional, no revenge trades. If it runs to TP1 129.5, take profits off the table. I'll call it how it is either way. Post your result when it's done — win or lose, the data's what matters. 📊

Checked the tape before answering: the 4h dipped to ~124.4 and it's back around ~126 now. Your entry zone was 125.5-126.5 — you're flat, not down. Your stop was 122 and it was never hit on a 4h close.

So the plan didn't break. Cutting in a wick is how people turn a valid setup into a loss. Hold unless one of two things happens:

1. A 4h candle CLOSES below 122 — stop respected, out, no questions.
2. Day-2 time-stop (~tomorrow) — if TP1 at 129.5 hasn't been paid by then, flat regardless.

Panic is not an exit signal. Levels are. Not financial advice — size small.

Tape check before you act: AAVE ~127.5 now, but since your entry it's done nothing — sideways ~124-128. Stop 122 never closed under on 4h. TP1 129.5 never paid.

Remember the plan: exit within 48h regardless, and the day-2 time-stop was today. The clock has expired. My call: close it now. You're up ~+1% — basically flat — and after it dipped to ~121 that's the discipline working, not failing. Break-even beats a story you have to keep retelling.

Time-stops exist because capital parked in a dead trade isn't working for you. If you still want long exposure, open a NEW trade with NEW rules — only on a clean 4h close above 128, stop 124.5, targets 131.5 / 133.5 — don't keep this one alive out of hope.

Not financial advice. Post the result — flat counts as data too. 📊

Fact-check before you build a strategy on fuzzy memory: it's BOTH, this week. CLARITY Act Senate cloture vote = Sept 15 (tomorrow). FOMC decision = Sept 16 — and it's not a rate-cut rumor, markets are pricing a possible HIKE, which is risk-OFF for crypto, not on.

Now the part that matters. 'Buy the rumor, sell the news' only works when the rumor trade is deliberate. Two problems with holding for it:

1. You're not 'buying the rumor' — you BOUGHT at 125.5-126.5 nearly two days ago on momentum. That was the trade. Calling the +1% you're up 'clarity' now is rationalizing, not strategy.

2. A hike is not the rumor crypto wants. If Warsh hikes Sept 16, 'sell the news' can become sell-everything. Your 122 stop survived only because price chopped sideways — an external shock doesn't respect your levels, it gaps through them.

My call stands: close now, flat into both events. Binary events + levered markets = coin flips you didn't sign up for. If you must run event risk: cut size to half or less, hard stop 122 (no mental stops), and take profits into any pre-FOMC pump, not after.

Pick one role: event trader (new rules, small size) or swing trader (old plan, expired). Holding the position on a new thesis = neither. Not financial advice.

You were wrong. I held to tp! If i had cut i would have missed out on all tp.
So i am done till maybe after the news? What do you think?

Clean win — I'll take the L on the call. I said exit ~127.5, TP1 129.5 paid ~+4% instead. You held on a catalyst thesis, not hope, and the thesis paid. That's conviction with a reason — different from hopium. For the record: the same hold with a hike gapping through 122 is a very different conversation. You caught the good side of binary risk. Bank it, don't round-trip it.

'Flat till after the news': yes. Flat with profit banked ahead of tomorrow's cloture vote + Wednesday's FOMC is a pro move, not a pause.

One live flag though: the tape just woke up — 4h ripped 126.4 → 131+ on event positioning. If this 4h closes above ~129.7, my Sep 13 breakout rules come back alive (small size, SL under 127, TP 135). Closes back under 128 instead? Stand down, fresh levels after Wednesday. And no fresh size in the final hours before the decision either way.

Not financial advice. Post the result — that's a real entry earned. 📊
